š This week, IMACE attended the 23rd IUNS-ICN International Congress of Nutrition in Paris (24ā29 August 2025).
One of the central themes was the ongoing debate around Ultra-Processed Food (UPF). Leading scientists highlighted the urgent need for:
Ā š¹ Clear characterisation š§¾
Ā š¹ A recognised and harmonised definition š
In response, IUNS announced today the creation of the IUNS Task Force on UPF šļø ā an important step towards ensuring scientific clarity š¬ and global alignment š on this emerging issue.
IMACE will be closely following these developments š and looks forward to contributing to the dialogue š¤ with stakeholders across the food and nutrition community š„.
