šŸŒ This week, IMACE attended the 23rd IUNS-ICN International Congress of Nutrition in Paris (24–29 August 2025).


One of the central themes was the ongoing debate around Ultra-Processed Food (UPF). Leading scientists highlighted the urgent need for:

Ā šŸ”¹ Clear characterisation 🧾

Ā šŸ”¹ A recognised and harmonised definition 🌐


In response, IUNS announced today the creation of the IUNS Task Force on UPF šŸ›ļø – an important step towards ensuring scientific clarity šŸ”¬ and global alignment šŸŒ on this emerging issue.


IMACE will be closely following these developments šŸ‘€ and looks forward to contributing to the dialogue šŸ¤ with stakeholders across the food and nutrition community šŸ„—.
