IMACE is proud to announce the release of the ๐ฌ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ-๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ (๐๐ก๐๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐) ๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฌ, initiated by IMACE together with its member company experts and leading sustainability consultancy Mรฉrieux NutriSciences | Blonk.
The guidance provides ๐ ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ (๐๐๐) ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ, enabling consistent and comparable evaluation of environmental impacts across margarine products. By covering the full life cycle, from raw material sourcing to end-of-life, it helps identify key hotspots and supports informed decision-making to reduce environmental impact.Co-developed through an extensive technical process involving IMACE Company Members and external LCA experts, this work demonstrates how industry collaboration can drive meaningful progress towards ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ๐, ๐๐๐ญ๐-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ.This publication also marks an important step towards future alignment with the European Commissionโs Product Environmental Footprint framework and reinforces the sectorโs readiness to contribute to the evolving policy landscape.
