General Assembly

The General Assembly is IMACE’s main decision-making body. It brings together all members once a year, usually in spring, ensuring full representation across the association.

Board of directors

The Board of Directors is composed of six representatives from IMACE member companies, appointed by the General Assembly. It is responsible for managing and implementing IMACE’s annual priorities. The current members are:

Secretariat

The day-to-day management of IMACE is entrusted to the Secretariat, led by Managing Director Siska Pottie, together with Chloë Van Peteghem (Office Manager) and Nancy Baka (Sr Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Advisor), who ensure that the association’s objectives are delivered effectively.

Council of Experts

The Council of Experts brings together company specialists and secretariat experts to oversee sector-specific regulatory and technical dossiers. The Council of Experts reports directly to the Board of Directors and meets four times a year.

Expert Groups

Expert Groups focus on specific topics of importance to the sector and are regularly adapted to address shifting priorities and emerging issues. Their work is organised into four thematic streams: Food safety, Nutrition, Sustainability, and Competitiveness.

Expert Groups consist of representatives from member companies that sit on the Council of Experts and draw on their specialised expertise to develop proposals and positions for alignment within the Council.
