IMACE fully supports the cross-commodity call for urgent EUDR clarity

As a committed actor in sustainable sourcing and responsible food systems, IMACE fully supports the joint industry letter co-signed by FoodDrinkEurope and other key EU associations urging the European Commission to provide immediate clarity and workable guidance on the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

With the 30 June 2025 milestone behind us, businesses across sectors—including margarine and plant-based spreads—are navigating significant uncertainty. IMACE members have made substantial investments to align with EUDR requirements, and now need:

- Clear communication on the implementation timeline

- Practical, harmonized guidance across all Member States

- Legal certainty to avoid disruption in critical supply chains

IMACE calls on the European Commission to act swiftly and decisively to safeguard the regulation’s effectiveness and support responsible business practices.
