Further adaptation of the Nutri-Score algorithm is required

The #EuropeanMargarinesector (IMACE) is supportive of initiatives that aim to provide consumers with easy-to-understand and non-misleading information related to the nutritional characteristics of foods.

The #EuropeanMargarinesector (IMACE) is calling for adjusting the algorithm further in order to include seeds, nuts and kernels within the “fruit and vegetables” category. This would allow to categorize our different products with scores from A to D in function of the different recipes, offering consumers real guidance on the different options in the margarine & spread category.
