IMACE secretariat
The task of the IMACE Secretariat in Brussels
is to gather intelligence on relevant developments stemming from
or related to the European Union and other international government
/ non-governmental organisations.
The Secretariat analyses the potential impact
of these developments on the industry's business activities, informs
the national associations and relevant experts, contributes to the
development of industry positions and defends the industry's interests.
The list of subjects that the Secretariat
monitors cover both specific margarine / spreads issues ( i.e. Yellow
Fats Regulation) as legal / economic and technical developments
that have a general impact on the margarine industry (i.e. labelling,
biotechnology, nutrition, CAP, enlargement)
